I’m Adam Brown, a classical guitarist based in Scotland, performing and teaching internationally.

My work explores the expressive possibilities of the guitar, drawing together its rich historical tradition with diverse contemporary voices. I’m interested in programming that connects styles, cultures, and time periods into coherent and engaging concert experiences.

As a performer, I’ve appeared at leading venues and festivals across Europe, North America, and beyond. My focus is on creating performances that feel both thoughtful and immediate—where detail, colour, and narrative all play a role in shaping the musical experience.

Alongside performing, I teach at the City of Edinburgh Music School and the University of Edinburgh’s Reid School of Music. Teaching is an essential part of my musical life, and I work with students to develop technical clarity, artistic individuality, and long-term musical confidence.
